Most of the audience had read the book but no one could name all of the habits. He stressed on the importance of knowing them in order to integrate the seven key points into their daily life. ‘The Seven Habits’ include:
1. Be proactive: Principles of Personal Vision
2. Begin with the end in mind: Principles of Personal Leadership
3. Time management – First things first: Principles of Personal Management
4. Think win-win: Principles of Interpersonal Leadership
5. Seek first to understand and then be understood: Principles of Empathic Communication
6. Synergize: Principles of Creative Cooperation
7. Sharpen the Saw: Principles of Balance and self renewal
Roger later asked the audience if they knew Covey’s 8th Habit. “There will come a time in your life when significance will become more important than success – Leaving a Legacy”, he added. As a founder of the Mastermind Forum – The Winner’s Circle, Roger enlightened the audience on the ABC of Mastermind. He said “The universal law of wealth that’s made all the difference is now the cornerstone of the Winner’s Circle”. Mastermind refers to accelerated growth.
One of the greatest need human needs is the need to feel appreciated. He shared how hand written thank you notes can create lasting impression. Using real life experiences, he explained the difference in impact between verbally saying thank you and writing a personal thank you note. During the seminar, Roger spoke about the obstacles in realizing the dreams of Digital Bangladesh and drew comparison between the rich and poor countries.
